Climbing Scafell Pike in Memory of Tony
A fundraising team will take on the challenge of climbing Scafell Pike in memory of Tony Bennett, who died suddenly from a Type A aortic dissection at the age of 58.
Tony died on 12th August 2025. His death was completely unexpected and had a devastating impact on his partner, family and friends. To honour Tony's memory and help raise awareness of aortic dissection, Carrie will climb Scafell Pike alongside her sister-in-law, Olivia, and Tony's good friend, Beefy.
The group will take on England's highest mountain on the anniversary of Tony's funeral - a day that will always be incredibly difficult, but one they hope to turn into something positive in his memory.
The team is raising funds for Aortic Dissection Awareness UK & Ireland, helping to shine a light on a condition that can strike suddenly and without warning. By raising awareness, they hope more people will recognise the signs and symptoms of aortic dissection, potentially saving lives.

This climb is for Tony. ❤️ For the laughs, the memories, the love and the life that should have been so much longer.
If you can spare anything to support us, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us honour Tony's memory and support this incredibly important cause.
You can support Carrie, Olivia and Beefy's Scafell Pike challenge by donating to their fundraiser.
