Aortic Dissection patients told us that they leave hospital with very little information about their condition: how it was treated; how they can best recover and what having an aortic dissection means for the rest of their lives and for their family. In response to this unmet need we produced Aortic Dissection: The Patient Guide. Written by patients, for patients and endorsed by the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery, The Vascular Society and the Intensive Care Society, our 96-page handbook informs and empowers patients and their families across the UK & Ireland. Some consultants are even giving it to junior doctors to teach them about aortic dissection! 

Aortic Dissection: The Patient Guide is available as a free download or in hard copy. You can fill-in the online Order Form and receive a free stock to give to your patients. You can order as many as you like, as often as you like. Orders are typically delivered within 2-3 weeks by our distribution partner, Terumo Aortic.

Aortic Dissection Awareness UK & Ireland's first major charitable act was to commit to printing and distributing enough copies of the Patient Guide each year so that everyone who has an aortic dissection in the UK & Ireland is given one before they leave hospital.
