Also in the annual address, the chair takes the opportunity to remind everyone about the fantastic series of patient booklets that have been published over the last few years.

Anne called this year's Aortic Dissection Awareness Day, 'the jewel in our crown' as she references the incredible events that took place in Leicester, UK and Dublin, Ireland - the latter attended by none other than the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam.

Tony Webb's new leadership of the criticial life saving THINK AORTA campaign is another disucssion point, with the campaign growing to eleven countries with more coming on line all the time.

And Anne's personal 2025 highlight, the release and premier of Mike Lambert's awe-inspiring film 'The Pilgrim of the Tides' directed and produced by Nigel Morgan.  We were granted permission to use footage from this amazing world record attempt and we thank Zarrin Sheik Cardiology for their genorosity.

Anne took the opportunity to thank the charity's amazing group of volunteers without which the charity couldn't achive it's crucial goals.

"They go out of their way to provide practical and compassionate support to those in our group, and who also work with all the medical staff who engage with us regularly"
