The Patient Charity has secured an exhibition space at the upcoming Vascular Societies’ Annual Scientific Meeting (VSASM), taking place in Hull, UK, from 26–28 November 2025.

The Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland (VSGBI) is the leading professional organisation for vascular specialists across the UK and Ireland. Founded in 1966, it represents consultant vascular surgeons, trainees, vascular scientists, and allied health professionals caring for patients with diseases of the arteries, veins, and lymphatic system.

The Society’s mission is to advance the science, education, and practice of vascular surgery — improving outcomes for people with conditions such as aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease, and venous disorders. Through its annual Scientific Meeting, training initiatives, clinical guidelines, and research collaborations, the VSGBI provides a vital platform for sharing innovation, supporting clinical excellence, and shaping the future of vascular care.

The Society also works closely with partner organisations such as the Circulation Foundation, Aortic Dissection Awareness UK & Ireland, and national vascular registries to promote patient safety, raise public awareness, and support ongoing research.  The society has been our partner in our THINK AORTA campaign since 2018.

This year’s collaboration ensures that patients will be represented at the heart of the UK’s leading vascular event

Representing the Patient Charity will be Chair Anne Cotton and Aortic Nurse Emma Hope, who will host Booth 23 on behalf of patients and families. Their presence will highlight the vital THINK AORTA and THINK AORTA, THINK FAMILY campaigns, alongside the growing range of free Patient Charity publications now distributed to aortic centres nationwide.

Anne Cotton, Chair of the charity, said:

“The Vascular Society is already a valuable partner to the Patient Charity, and our attendance this year will bring the voice of patients to this science-led event. We hope that by growing awareness of our patient guides and the THINK AORTA campaign, we can continue to save lives and provide one-to-one support for patients every day of the year.”

We look forward to connecting with clinicians, researchers, and vascular teams in Hull — working together to improve outcomes for every patient affected by aortic dissection
