Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital published a story this week focused on Emma, an aortic dissection patient who is celebrating her successful surgery, recovery and the 6th birthday of her daughter, Luna.
Emma expresses her gratitute for the team in Liverpool, led by surgeon Professor Field. She talks about how she learned of the work of Aortic Dissection Awareness UK & Ireland while awaiting her surgery and about a genetic condition called ACTA2 which her family carry.
