Leadership
Our charity is led by a diverse team of patients and relatives, supported by our professional medical advisors. The patients and relatives who lead the charity are elected by our members, usually for a 3-year term.
Currently, eight of our leadership team are patients who have had an aortic dissection. Three others are partners of an aortic dissection survivor. Two have tragically lost close family members to the disease. These thirteen "experts by experience" are supported by two professional medical advisors with a high-level of specialist clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating aortic dissection.
