Aortic Dissection Awareness Day UK 2017 - Liverpool
On 19th September 2017 around 70 patients, relatives and healthcare professionals were welcomed to Liverpool by Jane Tomkinson, Chief Executive of Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital and her specialist Aortic team.
Event Details
At this meeting, Mr. Graham Cooper, now the NHS England lead for acute Aortic Dissection, committed the NHS to developing a Service Specification for Thoracic Aortic Dissection and Mrs Barbara Harpham, Director of Heart Research UK, came up with the idea that a poster should be displayed in every A&E department with the message ‘THINK AORTA’.
